About Me

Born and raised on the East Coast, I came to California over 20 years ago seeking warmer weather and outdoor adventures. While originally planning to become an attorney, I had the opportunity to work on class action litigation and community-based projects related to education and employment discrimination, justice system reform, and gang violence. Through this work, I realized that my passion lay in connecting with others on a more personal level. This led me to pursue a graduate degree at UC Berkeley and to a career in clinical social work.

Working in the East Bay and San Francisco as a clinical social worker for many years, I helped people who were struggling with severe mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and homelessness. I have also provided forensic mental health services at Santa Rita Jail and crisis intervention services in both Marin and Alameda counties.

When Iā€™m not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, hiking, mountain biking, and being in the ocean. Traveling is a passion of mine; some of my favorite trips have been to Nepal, Guatemala, and Thailand.

I am passionate about helping people improve their mental health and well-being, and I truly believe that everyone has the potential to live a happy and fulfilling life.
